Hey guys, I got married back in January. Yea! I gotta say, it was SUPER amazing! I loved every minute of it and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
Among the many, MANY memories that continue to pop into my head each day, one particular one always makes me chuckle. The moment when my Dad walked me down the aisle. I was feeling super emotional and basically just trying to hold in my tears. Then I looked at my guests. There they were, all dressed up, waiting for me to walk by them. Quite a few of them holding up a smart phone! Now I know, a lot of brides don’t care for that sort of thing, but me, being the social media geek that I am, felt a sense of pride… and then I laughed!
We definitely encouraged the use of social media at our wedding, and I’m glad we did! Our wedding hashtag was a great way for us to track all the photos our friends and family took over the course of our wedding weekend!
Our very talented photographer, Kalia, worked super hard to get us the most beautiful photos. Those take time though, and for once, in a VERY long time, this was an occasion I didn’t have my iPhone with me the whole time. So, it was the photos from our friends that we were able to see first! It was a really nice thing to do together, the day after, from our hotel room. Plus, I’m such a sucker for the “Behind The Scenes” moments. Aren’t you?!!?
Here are some fun photos from some of our friends <3
I’d love to hear what you guys think about social media & weddings. Did you encourage it at your own nuptials? Or did you keep things more traditional?
