Happy Friday

Well, we made it…it’s FINALLY Friday!

It’s a rainy one here in South Florida, but no matter. Our weekend plans are to relax to the max, if it’s raining that’s even better!

We are Hermit Crab sitting at my house for the next week. It’s my first experience with this critters, they are pretty cool!

Hope you all have a LOVELY and wonderful weekend.

A Walk Outside to Clear My Head

Happy Friday, y’all!

You know how that first week back from vacation is pretty tough?

Your body still wants a nap every afternoon, like you had on vacation, but you have to get your brain back in proper order?

You’re trying to play catch up with emails and projects and overall you just feel a tad overwhelmed?

No, just me? Hahaa, ok, well anywayssssss, that’s how my week went.

As I was sitting at my desk yesterday, I decided I needed some fresh air to help my brain. So I took a walk outside.

Apparently, we have a baby corn snake living on our porch!

I’m not a huge fan of snakes. I leave them alone and they leave me alone.

But this little guy was all curled up and sleeping away. His colors were beautiful!

I think he’s eating really well. We’ve had so much rain that there are about a BILLION

tiny, baby tree frogs in our yard. They are so cute and about the size of your thumbnail.

This guy was much bigger and totally chillin’ in the rain.

I felt like he was saying, “Hey ladies, how YOU doin’?”.

So, that was my walk, to clear my head. It worked and I went back to work and finished up for the day.

Do you have any rituals that help you when you’re feeling a little less than productive?

Hope you all have a lovely weekend xoxo

Handmade Fox

I just HAD to share this with you all!

The kidlet was so upset last week, she had accidentally left my Mother’s Day gift at school and wasn’t able to give it to me on Sunday.

So last Tuesday, when I picked her up from school, she made me open a very prettily wrapped present…before I could even leave the school parking lot!

Inside was the most adorable, handmade clay fox I have EVER seen! I took about 1 billion photos of it, but was able to cut that down to the following few.

Look at his adorable little top hat! I seriously freaked out about it the whole ride home.

Pretty much THE BEST Mother’s Day gift, EVER! Don’tcha think?

I feel so blessed that my daughter is sweet, kind and amazingly creative. LOVE her!!

While I was out snapping pics of the fox, these two came up behind me.

Must be spring!

Eyeballs and Such

So, my eyesight has been a “little” less than perfect for quite sometime now.

I wear glasses while I’m driving at night and also while I’m on the computer, but not for anything else.

My prescription is pretty old, I think I’m pushing like three years now, but I don’t want to go back to the eye doctor because of something that happened awhile ago.

It’s a long story but if you must know more you can visit here.

So fast forward to last weekend.

My best friend came to visit and she talked me into buying a pair of those old lady reading glasses you can pick up anywhere. You know the ones. Older people wear them on the tips of their noses when they talk to you. Yeah, those. She saw this pair of turquoise ones (that’s my favorite color) and insisted I needed them.

So I was all like, “I’ll get them because they’re cute, but I don’t really NEED them”.

Then she was all like “Challenge Accepted”.

She had me put them on, just to see if there would be a difference. I picked up a random paper we had on the counter….Holy Poop! Everything was so crisp and clear!!

Seriously, you guys, it was crazy!! And so disheartening! I’m super blindish! *cries*

I still haven’t made that appointment, but I did wear my new old lady glasses today while I was working. What do you think of them?
