Let’s talk email newsletters today. Do you use them in your social media plan?
I’ve been a very content MadMimi client for a couple of years now. Their interface is super user friendly and they are very affordable.

You end up with a very professional looking email, to securely send out to your clients.
No more regular emails with links for people to click on. (Yes, I still get some of those from time to time. Scary, right?)
No matter what email marketing company you go with there are several rules you should adhere to.
There is a great article on these rules over on Mashable.
My number one rule when sending a Newsletter out is…Don’t Be A Spammer!
You want to make sure the people you are sending to actually want to ready your newsletter. If not, whats the point?
How many emails a day do you get that are never opened but sent right to the trash? Or even worse…THE SPAM FOLDER!!
Don’t be that business. Secure a legit mailing list by giving your client’s the opt in option.
Small businesses can do this in several ways, depending on how you interact with your clients. My practice consists of flat out asking, “Would you like to receive my monthly newsletter?”.
I have another client that most of her business is from art shows across the country. She actually has a book that people can sign up for her newsletter.
Most email marketing companies give you the option to add a “Sign up for my newsletter” box, right on your website.
No matter how you go about it, as long as people are willing to give your their email addresses, they are interested in what you have to say!
And that is totally awesome!
I’m curious…what email marketing company do you use?
